Love Banner

I love making banners and I love that I finally have a stairwell railing to hang them on.  This wasn’t a quick project but it was definitely worth the time it took to make it.  I love looking at it (pun intended) and enjoy having it as part of my Valentine’s Day decorations.

I first used the sponge daubers to put the ink on the banner for the dots and lines.  Once that dried, I went back and added the l, o, v and e.  In between the two times of putting the ink on the banner, I worked on making the lollies and flags for the two end pieces of the banner.  Once everything was put together and dry, I added the finishing touches; hearts and ribbon!

          

To make this project you will need: build a banner simply created kit (item 133507), sponge daubers (item 133773), real red stampin’ pad (item 126949), calypso coral stampin’ pad (item 126983), crisp cantaloupe stampin’ pad (item 131176), 1/4″ real red cotton ribbon (item 134563), calypso coral ribbon (from the best year ever accessory pack, item 138634, free sale-a-bration item when you spend $50), 5/8″ organza ribbon (item 114319), stacked with love designer series paper stack (item 137779), crisp cantaloupe card stock (item 131176), calypso coral card stock (item 126983), happy heart embossing folder, (item 137364), big shot (item 113439 or texture boutique machine, item 132657), and vintage faceted designer buttons (item 127555).

Valentine’s Candle

I love decorating and I love having candles so I combined them for this project.  After taking down my Christmas decorations I was excited to decorate for Valentine’s Day.  It turns out that I didn’t have much from past years so I decided to use some of my Stampin’ Up things and a candle to make something fun for the living room.  I love candles that have something on them so I used some paper and ribbon to make this candle festive.  First I took Crisp Cantaloupe card stock and using the Happy Heart embossing folder (item 137364) put it through the big shot and then wrap it around the candle.  Then I choose some paper from the Stacked with Love designer series paper stack (item 137779) and wrapped it around the candle on top of the piece of Crisp Cantaloupe.  I adhered both pieces of paper using glue dots.  Lastly, I used some 1/4″ Real Red Cotton Ribbon (item 134563) to wrap around the candle and tie a bow.  I really like how it came out and have enjoyed having it in my living room.

It’s Sale-A-Bration Time!!!

December Paper Pumpkin… A little hello, thank you and happy birthday

December’s paper pumpkin kit, All Shook Up, was lots of fun because they were shaker cards!  I love the confetti that is inside the photo frame shaker.  The kit came with 9 cards to make; 3 hello, 3 thank you and 3 happy birthday.  The Happy Birthday ones are probably my favorite because the letters are in Strawberry Slush and I love all shades of pink!

A Merry Little Wish…

It is always fun for me to make and send Christmas cards but this year’s card I had a particularly great time making it.  I love the Get Your Santa On stamp set and I love photo frames so it was great to put the two together.  This year I even had my husband, Kacy, helping out.  He was my paper cutter and did a fantastic job!  My favorite part of this project was coloring Santa.  First, I used my Jet Black StazOn to stamp the image onto Whisper White card stock.  After letting the ink dry I went back to color Santa’s suit red with the Real Red Stampin’ Write Marker.  I love the way he came out!

Gift Bag and Matching Tag

Since December is the time of year for lots of gift giving, I had to make my own gift bag and matching tags!  I love to make them to match my holiday cards!  This year’s bags and tags uses the Get Your Santa On stamp set, which I love!  This stamp set is so cute and when you use it with your StazOn ink you can color Santa and his suit. (Make sure that you let the StazOn ink dry before you start to use your Stampin’ Write Markers to color.)  It makes for a very fun and memorable tag.  I use a plain white gift bag as my base for the gift bag which you can get at your local store that sells gift bags and crafts.

Season Greetings and Endless Wishes!

Let’s get the holiday season started with this Season Greetings card.  This card features the Endless Wishes stamp set.  I really like this stamp set because I love the snowflakes and the endless amount of sayings you can say with it.  I had a lot of fun adding the snowflakes to the whisper white card stock because I wasn’t trying to stamp the snowflakes perfectly or in the same spot.  I just had fun with it.  They were all generally in the same area but I put them where I felt like and some of them overlapped or where off the edge of the paper.  On top of some of the snowflakes I added my favorite embellishment, rhinestones!  I thought it brought that something extra special to them.

The New Catalog Has Arrived!!!

2014 – 2015 Annual Catalog

It is here!!!!  I am so excited about the new Stampin’ Up! catalog!  I love the cover, what do you think???

I hope that you will browse through this new and fun catalog.  There is a fresh batch of new in-colors to check out, as well as a whole bunch of new designer series paper!  Oh, and the stamps!!!  There are so many cute, fun and beautiful stamps.  I can’t wait to get some of the new items so that I can create some fun projects to give out or new cards to mail.

There are some old favorites too.  My favorite owl builder punch (item #118074) is still in there, hmmm…. My order arrived!

I was so excited when my new Stampin’ Up! order arrived today. As an Independent Demonstrator I got to order a few things from the new catalog that comes out on June 1st.
