I love making banners and I love that I finally have a stairwell railing to hang them on. This wasn’t a quick project but it was definitely worth the time it took to make it. I love looking at it (pun intended) and enjoy having it as part of my Valentine’s Day decorations.
I first used the sponge daubers to put the ink on the banner for the dots and lines. Once that dried, I went back and added the l, o, v and e. In between the two times of putting the ink on the banner, I worked on making the lollies and flags for the two end pieces of the banner. Once everything was put together and dry, I added the finishing touches; hearts and ribbon!
To make this project you will need: build a banner simply created kit (item 133507), sponge daubers (item 133773), real red stampin’ pad (item 126949), calypso coral stampin’ pad (item 126983), crisp cantaloupe stampin’ pad (item 131176), 1/4″ real red cotton ribbon (item 134563), calypso coral ribbon (from the best year ever accessory pack, item 138634, free sale-a-bration item when you spend $50), 5/8″ organza ribbon (item 114319), stacked with love designer series paper stack (item 137779), crisp cantaloupe card stock (item 131176), calypso coral card stock (item 126983), happy heart embossing folder, (item 137364), big shot (item 113439 or texture boutique machine, item 132657), and vintage faceted designer buttons (item 127555).
I love decorating and I love having candles so I combined them for this project. After taking down my Christmas decorations I was excited to decorate for Valentine’s Day. It turns out that I didn’t have much from past years so I decided to use some of my Stampin’ Up things and a candle to make something fun for the living room. I love candles that have something on them so I used some paper and ribbon to make this candle festive. First I took Crisp Cantaloupe card stock and using the Happy Heart embossing folder (item 137364) put it through the big shot and then wrap it around the candle. Then I choose some paper from the Stacked with Love designer series paper stack (item 137779) and wrapped it around the candle on top of the piece of Crisp Cantaloupe. I adhered both pieces of paper using glue dots. Lastly, I used some 1/4″ Real Red Cotton Ribbon (item 134563) to wrap around the candle and tie a bow. I really like how it came out and have enjoyed having it in my living room.
Since December is the time of year for lots of gift giving, I had to make my own gift bag and matching tags! I love to make them to match my holiday cards! This year’s bags and tags uses the Get Your Santa On stamp set, which I love! This stamp set is so cute and when you use it with your StazOn ink you can color Santa and his suit. (Make sure that you let the StazOn ink dry before you start to use your Stampin’ Write Markers to color.) It makes for a very fun and memorable tag. I use a plain white gift bag as my base for the gift bag which you can get at your local store that sells gift bags and crafts.
Things I used for this project: Nordic Noel designer series paper (item 135822), Real Red card stock (item 102482), Garden Green card stock (item 102584), Whisper White card stock (item 100730), Get Your Santa On stamp set (item 135761), Real Red Stampin’ Write Marker (item 100052), Old Olive Stampin’ Write Marker (item 100079), Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Write Marker (item 119677), Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker (item 119680), 1/8″ silver ribbon (item 132137), StazOn Jet Black Ink (item 101406), Deco Label Collection framelits (item 130102) and of course my favorite, the big shot!
Here’s a bonus, another gift bag tag that I made:
Kacy opening his paper pumpkin

Kacy’s completed memo board
Paper pumkpin is not just for women! So I already posted about my October paper pumpkin but I thought you might be interested to know that my husband is also subscribing to paper pumpkin. My husband, Kacy, likes to paper craft and often will join in when I am making a project. I think his project came out terrific!
Paper pumpkin kits aren’t always cards… this month it was a memo board! It’s extremely cute and very useful! When I was done creating mine I was so excited I started making my grocery list and forgot to take a picture of my project! The colors in this project are calypso coral, gumball green and whisper white. My favorite color is pink and my sister’s is green so I really thought that putting calypso coral and gumball green so nice.
Thank you… You’re the Best
Here’s my third make and take from Convention! This one is probably my favorite. Here’s why… The bag is beautiful but what is inside is even nicer! Inside there are 5 different kinds of cards AND matching envelopes! I love the Hello, Lovely Stamp Set because it is so gorgeous. It makes this bag and card set so nice and a gift that anyone would love. To make the bag and the cards I used Hello, Lovely Stamp Set; Old Olive Cardstock; Whisper White Cardstock; Silver Glimmer Paper; Tag a Bag Gift Bag; Note Cards & Envelopes; Bermuda Bay Ink Pad; Coastal Cabana Ink Pad; Crisp Cantaloupe Ink Pad; Old Olive Ink Pad; Coastal Cabana Stampin’ Write Marker; Crisp Cantaloupe Stampin’ Write Marker; Bermuda Bay 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon; Calypso Coral 3/4″ Chevron Ribbon, Stamp-a-ma-jig, and 1-3/4″ Circle Punch.
